Have you heard about the new initiative from Cotton Babies to increase consumer awareness about cloth diapering?

They've recently launched a campaign called Change 3 Things; their goal is to get 100,000 parents to commit to change 3 cloth diapers a day. Here's what would happen if they reach their goal:
- Thirty to fifty million pounds of prevented landfill waste
- One hundred million disposable diapers not purchased
- A combined savings of over $24 million in the next year
- Increased public and media awareness about the environmental and economical benefits of cloth diapering
Those are some pretty amazing statistics, right? For those of us who are fully committed to cloth diapering, it doesn't seem like such a big deal. But, we all know that, for some people, it just seems like too much work or too much expense. This campaign is a great opportunity to encourage others to just try cloth diapering - change 3 a day - to see that it's not so overwhelming.
In the week since this challenge was launched, over 5,000 parents had already committed to it - why don't you join them?
Head over to their Facebook page and "like" them to have your diaper changes counted!

As cloth diapering parents, we all probably had many of the same reasons to choose cloth diapers over disposables. We may have made the decision with support of our friends and family, or in spite of it. We've all heard at least one person ask us if it's really worth it.
As we watch the news lately and see the concerns with Pampers disposable and severe skin issues, and the oil pouring out into the Gulf of Mexico, we need to feel even more confident in the decision to cloth diaper our babies.
It is critical for us to reduce our oil footprint; it takes over 3 billion gallons of oil to produce the 18 billion diapers that Americans throw away each year! This is really shocking and motivates me to get on my soapbox about cloth diapering - how about you?

Here is some info on All-in-one diapers.
All-in-one diapers give you the convenience of disposable diapers with the quality and comfort of cloth. The all-in-one diaper comes with a waterproof outer cover, so it requires no separate cover. Many 100% cotton layers make the all in one cloth diaper comfortable and durable. Snap tape closures and Velcro straps hold up well during laundering, and these diapers are thicker in the middle to provide better absorbency.
The all-in-one diaper can withstand the activity of a young child and the wear and tear of an industrial washing machine. Cloth all in one diapers are the way to go if you do not wish to buy diapers and diaper covers separately. The downside of all-in-one diapers is that they are often more expensive than other cloth counterparts and can take longer to dry. These are also a great place to start if you are switching from disposable to cloth.

Here is some info on Pocket Diapers
Pocket Diapers
Our pocket diapers are lined with fleece, so only the fleece touches your child's skin, not the binding leg closures of disposable diapers. Pocket diapers are a great option for parents who want to add absorbency to their child's diapers because you can select how many inserts will suit your child best. The Cloth Pocket Diaper can be stuffed with specialized inserts or used with a prefold diaper. They are generally quick to dry and gives your child a trim fit. A pocket diaper needs to be washed after every use but does not require a separate cover. These diapers are a customized solution for children who wet frequently.
